01Why a re-exam happened

NEET UG 2026 was originally conducted on May 3, but NTA cancelled it nationwide after a confirmed paper leak traced to Sikar, Rajasthan. To keep the process fair for every registered candidate, a fresh examination — referred to as ReNEET 2026 — was scheduled for June 21. No new registration or fee was required; everyone who held a valid May 3 admit card appeared again under the same candidature.

The re-exam followed the familiar NEET format: 180 questions to attempt, offline pen-and-paper mode, OMR-based responses, and a single shift running 3 hours 20 minutes with compensatory time built in for any delays at individual centres.

Single-shift exam, no normalisation. Because ReNEET 2026 ran in one shift only, there's no inter-shift score adjustment to worry about. Your raw score against the final answer key is your score.

This is an unofficial key. Coaching-institute answer keys (including this one) are prepared from memory-based question recall within hours of the exam and are meant for early self-assessment only. The official NTA provisional answer key — released with your recorded responses and OMR sheet on neet.nta.nic.in — is the one that determines your final score.

06Frequently asked questions

Is this answer key official?+

No — this is an unofficial, coaching-institute-prepared key compiled from memory-based recall shortly after the exam. The official key comes only from NTA on neet.nta.nic.in, usually within 3–5 days, and is the one used for actual result computation.

How do I know my question paper code?+

Your code is printed on the top-right corner of your OMR sheet and question booklet — it will read 50, 60, 70, or 80. Match this exactly before checking your responses.

Was there normalisation across shifts?+

No. ReNEET 2026 was conducted in a single shift nationwide, so there's no inter-shift score normalisation. Your raw score against the final answer key stands as-is.

What if I disagree with an answer?+

Once NTA releases the provisional answer key, a formal objection window opens where you can challenge specific answers against a prescribed per-question fee. Decisions are reviewed by subject experts before the final key is locked.

When will the ReNEET 2026 result be declared?+

Based on the current timeline, the result is expected by late July 2026, after the objection window closes and the final answer key is published.
